This year World Hand Hygiene Day focuses on the following:

• we can add to a facility's climate or culture of safety and quality through cleaning our hands; and
• a strong quality and safety culture will encourage people to clean hands at the right times and with the right products.

NSS ARHAI Scotland are supporting and promoting this by providing information and guidance on hand hygiene on a Hand Hygiene Day 2022 web page. This page includes links to WHO campaign resources and ARHAI guidance and supporting materials.

NSS will be putting out social media messaging on the week of the event using #HandHygiene.

We would encourage boards and organisations to take part in Hand Hygiene Day 2022 locally using the materials on the web page and #HandHygiene on their social media messaging.
