5.13 - Hand Hygiene

Hand hygiene is considered one of the most important practices in preventing the onward transmission of any infectious agents including respiratory viruses.  Hand hygiene should be performed in line with section 1.2 of SICPsWithin this section you will find videos demonstrating how to perform a hand wash and how to perform a hand rub.

Care Homes

Staff in care homes settings can refer to the hand hygiene section of the Care Home IPCM (CHIPCM) for older people and adult care homes for more information and resources specific to this setting.
